Carried out by the “Objects, Crafts and Computation'” art and design research programme in dialogue with the ceramics and glass faculty of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Europa 2022 is a participatory and generative installation based on a linguistic map of the European continent, incorporating a collection of sculptures generated through a process of physicalising sound data based on recordings of a text by the Czech philosopher Jan Patočka read in different European languages :

“It is the same heritage which persists through disasters, and that is why it seems to me that we can venture to affirm that Europe – in particular Western Europe, but also what is called “the other Europe” – was born of the care to the soul. – that is the germ which brought forth what was Europe.”

Jan Patočka, Platon et l’Europe, seminar of 1973, trad. E. Verdier, 1983, p.99
